Our Requirements:

 

Each resident is referred to a Maryland State Certified outpatient program for substance abuse treatment and must commit to becoming and active member of a 12-step program; Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).  Active membership includes, getting a sponsor, working the 12 steps with that sponsor, attending meetings daily and having a service position in a home group.

 

Bringing or using alcohol, drugs, or drug paraphernalia in Saving Our Sisters recovery home will not be tolerated.  Alcohol and/ or drug use in the house is prohibited and is grounds for immediate dismissal.

 

Each resident will attend a weekly house meeting and agree to daily chores.  Each resident will agree to house rules, daily curfew, and random drug testing.

 

Each resident should have at least 60 days clean/ sober and may stay 6- 12 months, based on need.

 

Each resident will complete an application and be interviewed prior to acceptance.

 

 

Application Process:

 

Each resident will complete an application and meet with a staff member for an interview.  Residents who are accepted into the program will be assigned to a room, receive chores, and complete additional paperwork during the orientation period.  Residents will receive a welcome packet and a list of acceptable items that are allowed during their stay.  There are some cases when residents are referred to another program for placement, according to need.

Our Costs:

 

The initial charge to move into Saving Our Sisters recovery home  is  $225 

 

The initial charge includes the first and last week’s service fee and a one time processing fee of $35. 

 

Residents who cannot afford to pay the weekly service fee of $95

($380 per month) will be required to apply for assistance through the Department of Social Services prior to entry. 

 

Residents are responsible for providing and preparing their own meals.

 

  

Amenities:

 

Residents will have access to a phone, television, computer with Internet, and household supplies. 

 

The house is fully furnished. 

 

Bed linens, towels, and some personal hygiene items are provided to those in need. 

 

The house is walking distance to a grocery store, $1 store, bank, CVS, and bus stop.
